Under 19 CP Maddern carnival & AUS Championships

Hi all


Tomorrow's training will be as usual starts for Sunday morning is at 10 am, Sunday afternoon 1pm starts and the next group will be 2pm. Just an update from Under 19 CP Maddern carnival: There were 8 teams competed this year at under 19 CP Maddern carnival (all Australian States teams); there was no New Zealand representatives at all this year in the team events or individual events. Congrats to VIC team 1 won the team events by beating NSW 11-5 in the final round of the team events. VIC team 2 came 3rd and beat WA team by very close margin 8-8 but won on the number of sets at the end. Congratulations and well done to our players Athi Selladurai & Joy Lai in team 1 and Wilson Tang & Michael Phan in team 2. Congratulations also to Athi on winning the mixed doubles individual events partner with Jacqueline Guan, beat NSW pair Cham Chen/Jennifer Tam in the final and well done to Joy who came as runners up after losing in the final of singles today against Buddhima Fernando from NSW. Both Athi & Joy lost in the semifinals of boys & girls doubles and Joy lost in the 3rd round of mixed partner with Titus Tan from WA.

Mens singles main draw Final: David Ngiam (QLD) defeated Daniel Guda (NSW) = 12-21, 22-20, 21-18 Semi-1: David Ngiam defeated Athi Selladurai = 23-25, 21-17, 21-19 Semi-2: Daniel Guda defeated Anthony Joe (ACT) = 21-9, 21-19

Mens singles plate final: Bong Wong (ACT) defeated Tristan Chien (NSW) = 8-21, 22-20, 21-19 Our players: Wilson Tang & Michael Phan both lost in quarter final of plate.

Womens singles main draw Final: Buddhima Fernando (NSW) defeated Joy Lai (VIC) = 21-10, 21-17 Semi-1: Buddhima Fernando defeated Jacqueline Guan = 19-21, 23-21, 21-10 Semi-2: Joy Lai defeated Jennifer Tam = 21-10, 14-21, 23-21
